Easter, 1999
It is April and Easter. It all
started with traditional Easter Egg coloring - although traditional is probably not
correct. What happened to the vinegar and other noxious substances? Anyway,
Katy had a great time coloring her eggs. Here you can see Katie coloring her Easter
eggs:
and holding her very most favorite ALL blue egg.
This egg had a useful life of
about 5 minutes before she pounded it on the table in glee; needless to say, she was a
little miffed that we threw her favorite egg away.
The next day brought Easter and the new dress, new shoes and her very own purse with a
pearl handle:
Off we went to church - fortunately a children's service given her attention span.
A family "portrait" followed when we got home,
with some more snaps of Katie's new dress:
It was then time for the Easter Basket hunt. Here she is getting
"warmer"
(the basket is behind the yellow cover under the window) until finally there is success.
She much appreciated the
"M&Ms" (actually Reese' Peanut Butter candies, which happen to be her
mother's favorite)
and the bunny statue to be placed in the garden.
Here's a close up:
That's all, folks.
