Easter, 2001
It is Easter, 2001. We started with the
Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the park in Atherton - a first for Katie.
She was lined up with lots of other kids awaiting the start. Unfortunately
the start lacked a little in organization and someone sent the early kids off 15
minutes before everyone had gathered. Needless to say, the egg haul was
massive!
On her way out Katie noticed that all the eggs were gone and a lot of the other
children were not getting any eggs - so she spontaneously started giving her
eggs away to those without any. (She must get that from her mother!)

video.
She also got to sit on the Easter Bunnies
lap.
She has come to associate a holiday where you sit on a costumed character's lap
with (what else) presents! And given that every relation and acquaintance
sent her some, I suspect she will continue to milk this until after she is a
teenager!!!!!
On Easter morning there was ANOTHER egg hunt
in our back yard.
Check out the frost on the ground as Katie scurried to find the eggs:
But she found them all with a few complaining asides about the ice on the
eggs....
The it was off to church in the finery; here are the ladies
And as a special bonus, her father took Katie for her FIRST game of miniature
golf. She of course claimed to have mastered the game after the second
hole, measured principally be her ability to a) whack the ball, and b) find the
next hole.
There is also a pretty funny movie of this - but be forewarned it is about 3 meg. Click here to see it.
