September and October, 1999
So here it is, October 31. September and October were action
packed. The big event, other than gathering candy for Halloween was Katie
starting pre-school on September 9th. Here is Katie all ready to head off
for school on that first day in her new school clothes. Note the
clod-hopper school shoes her mother bought her - that will insure she doesn't
get any dates!
The other event of the month of September was a trip by her father to
Germany, among other places. What two year old's life would be complete
without a complete lederhosen outfit from Munich. You can certainly see
her German blood coming through:
But the big event of the month was Halloween. Katie decided to go as
Batman ... and then she decided to go as a cat ... and then she decided to go as
a mouse. Fortunately, turning a cat costume into a mouse costume at almost
the last minute was not too difficult for her talented mother. Here is a
shot of Katie getting her makeup (mouse whiskers) applied in the green room just
before the neighborhood group trick or treat:
Then it was out to the front porch for some posed publicity stills - complete
with the pumpkin we carved the night before:
Then it was off to the neighbors for the group trick or treat "parade"
complete with a group picture:
Finally, a couple of close-ups of the fine makeup work, suitable to be used as
windows wallpaper if I do say so my self.
That's it for now. Check back later for future past updates.
